Creating a strong thriving sustainable community

New administrative arrangements were announced for the Northern Territory public sector, following the swearing in of a new government and the appointment of the new Ministry on Tuesday 4 September 2012. As part of this announcement the Department of Housing, Local Government and Regional Services was split into three smaller agencies:

• Department of Housing
• Department of Local Government
• Department of Regional Development and Indigenous Advancement
• and the Water Safety team was moved to the Department of Sport and Recreation.
