One of two construction groups delivering remote Indigenous housing and infrastructure in the Northern Territory, as part of the $1.7 billion National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing, is close to finishing its six packages of works.

30 June 2011 |  Leases signed for Hermannsburg and Lajamanu
The Northern Territory communities of Hermannsburg and Lajamanu have signed 40 year leases which will allow work to begin on building new houses. Under the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing between the Australian and Northern Territory Government, 26 new houses will be built in Hermannsburg and 17 in Lajamanu.

Almost 1200 Indigenous families in remote communities in the Northern Territory have improved housing after the Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program (SIHIP) exceeded its 2010 targets.
