Big Rivers (Katherine)

The Big Rivers regional office, situated in Katherine, delivers a client focused service to meet the current and future needs of our clients in the Big Rivers region. The office is responsible for establishing and sustaining effective community engagement with clients in terms of:

• urban public housing services in Katherine and in urban community living areas
• public housing services in remote communities
• local government service delivery in urban and remote communities
• regional development through key projects in Katherine, the six Growth Towns and regional centres.

A key focus of the region is sustaining effective and appropriate community engagement and in building community capacity and capability through collaborative community based planning processes.  This includes the effective application and delivery of government programs that align with community needs and Government policy priorities.
